Contract Summary:

Broadgate Circle, located in London, has undergone a regeneration programme in order to revitalise the area. The regeneration represents a significant investment in Broadgate’s public realm and retail facilities, and will reinforce Broadgate Circle as the estate’s civic focus.
Seven restaurant and shops at lower ground level, arranged radially were created, each with a dedicated area of outdoor seating. Six new kiosks were also created at ground level, two of which form entrances to the reconfigured first floor bar restaurant and terraces.

Contract Specifications:

TES were responsible for for providing a complete electrical distribution system, serving all electrical equipment in accordance with current regulations and statutory requirements. The LV Supply and Distribution system included for:

  • Reconfiguration of existing retail and restaurant unit supplies from existing UKPN low voltage switchgear.
  • Incoming supply from existing UKPN low voltage switchgear to new low voltage landlord switchboard.
  • Incoming supply from existing UKPN low voltage switchgear to new low voltage tenants switchboard, plus outgoing supply cables to each retail unit.
  • Incoming supply from existing low voltage generator to new low voltage life safety switchboard
  • All outgoing sub-main supplies, distribution boards, final circuits, circuit protection and isolation, metering and power factor correction.
  • Installation of new sub-main supplies to retained distribution boards kept operational throughout the works and post completion.
  • Installation of a new supply cable to the end feed of the cable riser at ground floor from the new switchboard, LV-T, located at the basement mezzanine level at No. 3 Broadgate
